I cast on BF's socks last night and promptly fell asleep in my newly-airconditioned bliss. I am sad to say that I barely have two rows done on it. But that's okay, because I have my beret for the tdfkal to work on in a little under a week. I'm a slow knitter, so this project will carry me through into my vacation with a bunch of friends down to Baltimore for an anime convention. I'll probably knit the whole way down. It's about a three and a half hour drive. I'm so excited, I can't wait. I don't think I'll be able to post from there, though, because there are no free computers in the hotel (I don't think, anyway) but I'll type up a big update when I get back. Promise.

I've recently gotten into a really sappy mood. I'll admit it: I'm a hopeless romantic. Stories like Pride and Prejudice drive me crazy. Most of the time, I wish that I could have that torrential, crazy, upside-down relationship with someone that turns into the perfect happy ending. The end of the P&P movie? With Mr. Darcy (does he have a first name at all?) kissing Elizabeth? That's the kind of ending I want. But unfortunately, I'm not Elizabeth Bennet or any one of a hundred literary-romance heroines. I'll stick with my boyfriend.

Alright, I'm off to watch Pride and Prejudice and do some knitting.

As long as you get to your own "happy ending" that's what counts. What worked for Elizabeth Bennet would not necessarily work for you. Knit on!
